Naturally, establishing a ski resort in the middle of the mountains has a huge environmental impact. This means that every local business and holiday maker passing through has a duty to try harder. We applaud recent incentives like investment in solar power to run the lifts and hydro power to provide electricity to local villages, but we can all be better. See how we’re trying.
GIVING BACK TO OUR MOUNTAINS
For every hour you book with us, we will plant one tree on your groups behalf with Tree's for the Future. This means one tree, every hour, per group. If you book us for one week, that means approximately 48 tree's planted - just because of riding with us. We pledge to plant at a minimum 1,764 tree's this season.
Where possible we want to lower our carbon emissions at all levels. Being based in Meribel, we ask our clients from neighbouring valleys to push back the normal 9am start time to 9.30am, so that we can use the public transport already available to get to you, and reduce cars on the road. Don’t worry early birds, if this option doesn’t suit you we have a hybrid vehicle that can get us from A to B.
We have chosen to donate 3% of our earnings to Protect Our Winters (POW) for the season 22/23', chosen because of their incredible role in protecting our mountains in the climate fight in Europe. At the end of the season, with your consent we’ll be writing a newsletter thanking each of our clients and business partners for being part of this contribution.
